Karel Hubáček

Karel Hubacek ( born February 24, 1924 in Prague, † 23 November 2011) was a famous Czech architect, university professor, and especially for the design of the TV tower Ještěd.

Biography

After graduating from the secondary school Prague Nusle 1943 and forced labor in the German Empire until 1945, Hubacek studied architecture at the Technical University in Prague ( CTU ) and graduated in 1949 From 1951 to 1968 he worked for the project company Stavoprojekt in Liberec.; after which he became a director and founder of the 1968 SIAL architectural firms. 1993 awarded him the CTU honorary doctorate of technical sciences. From 1994 to 1997 he was dean of the School of Architecture of the Technical University in Liberec. In 1995 he qualified as a professor at the Prague School of Crafts ( VŠUP ); In addition, he fulfilled in 1995 a lectureship in Applied Arts at the University of Prague.
