Karel Roden

Karel Roden ( born May 18, 1962 in České Budějovice, South Bohemia, ) is a Czech actor.

Career

In 1984, Roden his acting career in How Poets lose their illusion. After that he played in more than 30 other Eastern European productions. 2001 Roden managed the leap to Hollywood with the movie 15 minutes of fame. There he acted alongside Edward Burns and Robert De Niro. This was followed by films like Blade II, Bulletproof Monk - Bulletproof Monk and The Bourne Supremacy. 2006 Roden played in the thriller Running Scared. In 2012 he got the role of the evil Nazi doctor Victor Frankenstein 's Army (Army of Frankenstein ).

Awards

Roden has until now been nominated three times for the Czech Lion for Best Actor ( 1999, 2000 and 2001). He has also received a 1997 nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
