Karen O'Hara

Karen O'Hara is an art director and production designer U.S., the Academy Award for Best Production Design won at the Academy Awards in 2011 and among other things, once again was nominated for the Oscar.

Life

Karen O'Hara began her career as an art director and production designer in 1981 the TV movie Love is my strongest weapon (The Marva Collins Story) and worked until today at the scenic features of more than thirty films.

At the Academy Awards in 1987 she was nominated along with Boris Leven for the Academy Award for Best Production Design, and indeed for The Color of Money ( 1986) by Martin Scorsese with Paul Newman, Tom Cruise and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio in the lead roles. Together with Linda Pearl, Michael Armani and Jan K. Bergstrom she was then in 1993 for an Emmy for outstanding performance at the art direction in a miniseries or a series Special nominated for the produce of the HBO television movie The Group (1993 ) by Glenn Jordan with James Garner, Jonathan Pryce and Peter Riegert.

For the scene image in the directed by Tim Burton 3D fantasy film Alice in Wonderland (2010) with Mia Wasikowska, Helena Bonham Carter and Johnny Depp won in 2011 along with Robert Stromberg the Oscar for Best Production Design, and was also with him in the British Academy film Awards 2011 for the British Academy film Awards ( BAFTA film Award ) and the critics Award of the broadcast Film critics Association nominated.
