Karl Pilkington

Karl Pilkington ( born September 23, 1972) is a British radio producer, radio host, podcaster, author and actor. He is known as a producer and next to Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant one of the hosts of the Ricky Gervais Show, initially a radio show, a podcast from 2005, the animated version was broadcast in the U.S. on HBO. He is also the author of three books, in which he reveals his thought.

Life

Karl Pilkington grew up in Manchester and spent his childhood, from a profession of his father, a lot of time in Porthmadog, Wales. He attended school in Manchester, but had neither the temperament nor the motivation to learn. During his tenure at the London radio station XFM he learned in 2001, Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant know who again returned to the station after the success of the series The Office. He was part of the Ricky Gervais Show, in which he was often by his silly and monotonous appearance focus of the talks. After talking to her radio show Gervais and Merchant contacted Pilkington's former school and found out that he had participated in only one GCSE for History, for which he got a 5. The series currently consists of three squadrons, each with eight episodes in the first two seasons and three episodes in the third season ( episode 60 min each ). In the first season Pilkington visited the New World wonders to expand his horizons. In the second he gets to choose from a list of activities, what he would like to do. In the third season, which aired in 2012 as a Christmas special on Sky1, Pilkington Warwick Davis is to accompany the footsteps of Marco Polo. Since November 2012, the second season is broadcast in Germany on DMAX.
