The Kashgar (or Kashi; Chinese喀什 噶尔, Pinyin Kāshígá'ĕr; Uighur قەشقەر دەرياسى, Qeshqer deryasi / Ⱪ əx ⱪ ər dəryasi or Kisilsu ) is a 765 km long river (of which 685 km in China) in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in the northwest of the People 's Republic of China.

Its sources are located in Tajikistan on the north flank of the Transalai chain in the northeast of the Pamir in the border region with China and Kyrgyzstan. It flows eastward and passes named after him Kashgar city with the associated oasis, the largest in China, and the administrative district of Kashgar. The river is then up to its confluence with the Yarkant south of Aksu in the north- west of the Taklamakan Desert in the Tarim named after the Tarim Basin.
