Kaşık Island

Kaşık Adası (Greek: Πίτα ( νήσος ) ) (Turkish Kaşık = spoon, ada = island; literally so Spoon Island) is an uninhabited island of the Princes' Islands in Istanbul and belongs to the district Adalar. The island is located between Burgazada and Heybeliada and got its name because of its shape.
After the island has several times changed hands, it is now closed to the public. Thus, in addition to environmental aspects, also prevents illegal land acquisition and development takes place.
