Kastor und Pollux

The two skyscrapers Castor and Pollux in Frankfurt together form the complex Forum Frankfurt, but in fact there are stand-alone buildings. The Twin Towers were unequal according to the Dioscuri in Greek mythology, Castor and Pollux, named.

The location at the Friedrich -Ebert-Anlage in the district Gallus, right next to the fairgrounds with the landmark exhibition tower, was formerly the seat of the headquarters of the German Federal Railroad. The building of the railway were blown up in 1994, 1997, skyscrapers were completed.

With 130 meters, is named after the demigod Pollux the larger of the two towers and comprises 33 floors about 31,500 m². The main tenant is on 24 floors since the completion of Commerzbank. Castor, the mortal, on the other hand measures 95 meters over 22 floors and offers 28,800 m² of office space. Lessee shall, among other things, the Consulate General of Malaysia.

The towers are separated by a small park with a light sculpture by the Swiss artist Christian Herdeg, about 70 meters apart on the square of the unit.

It was designed by New York architecture firm Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates. Around 850 million marks cost the construction of the towers.
