Kathrin Giese

Kathrin Giese (* 1961 in Neubrandenburg ) is a German author; she had multiple canoe world and European champion.

Life

Kathrin Giese, nee Stoll, coached at SC Neubrandenburg and in 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1985 world champion in four-man kayak with Birgit Fischer. In 1986, she won at the World Championships, the silver medal in the one - kayak and ended after their sports career.

In 1984 she was awarded in the GDR with the Patriotic Order of Merit in silver.

In 1989, she completed her law degree in 1980 begun at Berlin's Humboldt University as a graduate lawyer and then worked for two years as an assistant judge at the District Court of Neubrandenburg. Since 1992 she has been an independent lawyer, is married to Peter Kolloch and is active as a crime writer.

Trivia

Kathrin Kolloch was convicted of embezzling funds as a caregiver in the amount of 40,000 EUR an older Mandantin. The sum should have been invested without the knowledge of the now deceased in a now insolvent financial company of your husband. Meanwhile Kolloch was condemned by the Appeals Chamber at the District Court of Neubrandenburg to a prison sentence of one year probation and a fine of 10,000 euros.
