Kathryn Lasky

Kathryn Lasky (* June 24, 1944 ) is an American writer. She writes fiction and non-fiction children 's literature and nonfiction.

In 1984 she received the Newbery Honor Award for her work Sugaring Time and 2001 Phoenix Award. Her best-known series of works is the 15 -volume cycle Legend of the Guardians ( Guardians of Ga'Hoole ), whose first three books were filmed as The Legend of the Guardians.

Life

Kathryn Lasky grew up in Indianapolis on, is married and now lives in Cambridge (Massachusetts ).
