Kauhaneva–Pohjankangas National Park

The Kauhaneva - Pohjakangas National Park (Finnish Kauhanevan - Pohjankankaan kansallispuisto ) is a 1982 equipped National Park in the west of Finland.

The 57 km ² national park located on the territory of the municipalities Kauhajoki and Karvia on the border of the Southern Ostrobothnia and Satakunta landscapes. Some adjacent areas are also protected in varying degrees. The designated under the Natura 2000 program protection area Kauhaneva - Pohjakangas is a total of 68.65 km ².

The national park includes forest and bog areas in the southwest of Suomenselkä moraines. In the north of the park is its most striking Moränenaufschüttung, the Esker Pohjakangas. The rest of the park area is quite flat and covered for the most part of bogs, their largest single Moor is the eponymous Kauhaneva Moor.
