Kayqubad III

Kai Kobad III. full name Alā al -Din Kai Kobad 'm Ferāmurz ( علا الدين كيقباد بن فراموزس; . Turkish III Alâeddin Keykubad, † 1303) was a Seljuk Sultan of Rum and grandson of Kai Kaus II He ruled several times between 1284 and. 1303.

His grandfather Kai Kaus II lost the important battle of Köse Dağ against the Mongol Ilkhanate and fled from the Sultanate. The Sultans of Rum were forced under the supremacy of the Ilkhanate and ruled under their supervision as vassals.

Kai Kobad III. brought about in 1283 for the first time claim to the throne. He was supported by the Beylik Karaman.
