The HK Kasachmys Satpajew (Russian ХК Казахмыс Сатпаев ) is an ice hockey team from the Kazakh Sätbajew. The club was founded in 2002 and participates in the Kazakh Cup. From the beginning of the season 2003/ 04 until the summer of 2008 the team played in addition, as one of four non-Russian teams in the league Wysschaja, the second- highest Russian league.

As a sponsor of acts since its inception, the Kazakh mining company Kazakhmys, based in London UK.

History

The resident of the zentralkasachischen Sätbajew club was founded in 2002 in Karaganda and first played in the third highest Russian division under the name Kasachmys Karaganda. In the first year reached the summit in the Wysschaja league. However, the biggest success the team in Kazakhstan by winning the doubles in the season 2005/06. In the summer of 2006, the team moved to Sätbajew and repeated in the 2006 /07 Cup victory from last year.

With the national success of the club took part in the years 2003/ 04 and 2006/ 07 at the IIHF Continental Cup, but failed once in the first and once in the third round.

The second team played until January 2008 in the Perwaja League and is also entitled to participate in the Kazakh Cup.
