Kelvin Jack

Keyon Kelvin Jack ( born April 29, 1976 in Trincity ) is a football goalkeeper from Trinidad and Tobago. He currently plays at Maidstone United in the English Isthmian League.

Club career

He began his professional career at W Connection of Trinidad; later he moved to San Juan Jabloteh, where he played for some time. Since 2000, he has been invited several times by English clubs for trials, for example, of Northampton Town and Crystal Palace. But it was only in March 2004, the Reading FC took him under contract, whereby it but to no use was more for the new club during the remaining games of the season 2004/ 05. For the next season he moved to that time in the Scottish Premier League Dundee FC playing, but came in the first season only twice used. Only since the descent into 2 Scottish League in 2005, he played more often. Before the start of season 2006/ 07 he moved to Gillingham FC in the third highest English league.

National

Since his debut against Jamaica in 1999, he has played 31 times for the selection of his country. In qualifying for the World Cup 2006, he took turns in goal with Shaka Hislop and could save the qualification just before the final whistle in the last qualifying match against Bahrain his home by an artistic parade. Jack was nominated into the final round -up from their home country for the World Cup in 2006 and was intended to be number 1. However, as set out in the warm-up before the first group game against Sweden a calf injury, he was in the first two group matches replaced by Shaka Hislop. Only in the last group match against Paraguay, he came to his first and only World Cup - use.
