Ken Jones (footballer born 1936)

Kenneth " Ken " Jones ( born January 2, 1936 in Aberdare, † 18 January 2013) was a Welsh football goalkeeper and sports journalist. He participated in the World Cup in 1958 as a loose insert replacement for Jack Kelsey with Wales.

Jones played for Cardiff City, Scunthorpe United, Charlton Athletic, Exeter City and Yeovil Town.

Due to a serious leg injury ended his active career and Jones 1958 sports journalist, first at the Daily Mirror and the Sunday Mirror, later in the Independent. He wrote numerous books on football and boxing.

Jones came from a footballer family: his father Emlyn and his four brothers Shoni, Ivor, Bryn and Bert, and his cousins ​​Cliff and Brin were all also professional football players, Cliff belongs to Ken Wales squad for the World Cup 1958.
