Ken Norton, Jr.

Kenneth " Ken " Howard Norton, Jr. ( born September 29, 1966 in Lincoln, Illinois ) is a former American professional American football player. The son of Ken Norton played 13 years as a linebacker in the National Football League ( NFL) and won three times in a row, the Super Bowl.

College and NFL

After graduating from high school studied Norton Sociology at the University of California, Los Angeles ( UCLA) and played for the UCLA Bruins. 1988 Norton was selected in the second round of the NFL Draft by the Dallas Cowboys. The next five years of playing linebacker for the Texans and won with them Super Bowl XXVII and Super Bowl XXVIII. In Super Bowl XXVII Ken Norton had decided share of the victory of the Cowboys as he picked up a fumble in the final quarter and scored a touchdown.

In 1993 he went to California to the San Francisco 49ers and won there in the first year the Super Bowl XXIX. This is Ken Norton Jr. is the only football player with three championships in a row. Until his career end of 2000 he stayed with the 49ers. 1993 and 1995, Norton was nominated for the Pro Bowl.

1994 had the running back of the Los Angeles Raiders, Napoleon McCallum, end his career after a tackle by Ken Norton. McCallum crashed while unhappy and broke his knee.

After pro career

After his playing career, Ken Norton Jr. worked as a radio and television analyst and coached the team from Hamilton High School. Since 2004 he has linebacker coach for the USC Trojans.
