Ken Olandt

Ken Olandt ( born April 22, 1958 in Richmond, California) is an American actor and film producer.

Life

Olandt began his acting career in 1983 with a series of episodes of the television series Matt Houston. The following year he had his first recurring role as Kirk Dooley in the series Riptide. Mid-1980s, he was a much booked guest star in series like The A-Team, The Love Boat and Airwolf. In 1988 he had a recurring role in the soap opera Young and the Restless and played in the same year one of the main roles in the series aircraft carrier USS Georgetown, but this was discontinued after nine episodes. Between 1990 and 1992, he starred alongside Patrick Macnee starred in the series Super Force.

He had movie roles in the comedy film Summer School directed by Carl Reiner and in the horror film Leprechaun - The killer leprechaun. From the mid- 1990s Olandt increasingly worked as a film producer. He produced mainly science fiction and horror films, in which he sometimes also occurred even as an actor. Among the films produced by him include Daybreak - disaster in LA with Roy Scheider and Ted McGinley and Deep Core - The Burning Earth by Terry Farrell and Bruce McGill in the lead roles.

Olandt is married to the actress Denise Kerwin and thus the son of William Kerwin and Connie Mason.
