Kenjiro Shinozuka

Kenjiro Shinozuka ( Jap筱 冢 建 次郎, Kenjiro Shinozuka, born November 20, 1948 in Ōta, Tokyo ) is a Japanese rally driver.

He made his debut in 1967 in rallying. In 1976, at the Rally safari in Kenya 's first participation in a run of the World Rally Championship. In 1988, he won in the Mitsubishi Galant VR - 4, the Asia -Pacific Championship. In 1991 and 1992 he won the Rally Ivory Coast and was the first Japanese man who won a race of the World Rally championship.

This was Shinozuka also in the Dakar Rally, which he won in a Mitsubishi Pajero 1997 after finishing third in 1987, 1993 and 1995. The following year, he finished second behind his teammate Jean -Pierre Fontenay. Last year, Mitsubishi, in 2002, he closed the rally with third place from the podium.
