Kessen

The video game Kessen (Japanese决 戦= decisive battle ) was published in October 2000 as one of the launch titles for the PlayStation 2. It is the first DVD - ROM game, which was released for the PlayStation 2. In Japan alone, the developer Koei has sold more than 370,000 units in the first three months of publication. Kessen was in the SCE PlayStation Awards 2000 to the four best-selling PlayStation 2 games in Japan. Koei published in the series so far two more games: Kessen II (2001) and Kessen III ( 2005).

Game Description

The real-time strategy game is set in the last days of the Sengoku period. It deals with the last conflict between the eastern and the western Tokugawa clan Ishida Clan, which ended with the Battle of Sekigahara. Gamers can take on the role of Tokugawa Ieyasu or Mitsunari Ishida. On the part of the eastern clans, the game keeps relatively accurate to the story, while the missions for the Western Group ' what- if? Scenarios correspond.

The game offers more through its graphical brilliance as its tactical depth. There are different types of weapons that have different strengths and weaknesses. An important point are the commanders of the armies, for their conduct on the battlefield directly affects the performance of the army.
