Ketty Lester
Ketty Lester ( born August 16, 1934 in Hope, Arkansas as Revoyda Frierson ) is an American R & B singer and actress.
Life
Ketty Lester studied music at the State College in San Francisco and joined the college choir. After graduating she worked in a music club and was discovered by Cab Calloway. She went with him on a tour of South America in 1961 and got a recording contract with Era Records. With her single Love Letters she could reach 1962 # 5 on the U.S. charts. From 1968 Lester regularly played minor and major TV roles, such as in the television series Lou Grant. Her greatest role was as Hester -Sue Terhune in Michael Landon's Little House series.
