Kevin Kantee

Kevin Kantee ( born January 29, 1984 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, USA ) is a Finnish- American professional ice hockey player who is under contract with HC Valpellice in the Serie A1 since October 2011.

Career

Kevin Kantee began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Jokerit Helsinki, for the first team he to 2007 in the SM- liiga was active from 2003 and 2005 and 2007 runner-up was. Even as a youth player he had previously been selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002 in the sixth round as the 188th overall player of the Chicago Blackhawks, for which, however, he never played.

After he finished the 2006/07 season with TPS Turku, he spent two years playing for their league rivals Ilves Tampere, before he was committed to the 2009/10 season by reigning Finnish champions JYP Jyväskylä. For the following season the former Finnish youth international signed for HDD Olimpija Ljubljana of the Austrian Hockey League. For the season 2011/ 12, the defenders agreed on a contract with the HC Valpellice from the Serie A1.

Internationally

For Finland Kantee participated in the Under-18 Junior World Cup 2002, as well as the U20 Junior World Championship 2004 part.
