Khao Kradong Forest Park

The Forest Park Phu Khao Fai Kradong ( Thai: วนอุทยาน ภูเขาไฟ กระโดง, in English usage: Phu Khao Fi Kradong Forest Park, or Khao Kradong Forest Park ) is a forest reserve in the north- east of Thailand, known as Isan.

History

The Phu Khao Fai Kradong was officially declared on 1 October 1993 at a conservation area in Thailand.

Geography

The Phu Khao Fai Kradong covers the municipalities of: San I, Samet and Sawai Chik district ( Amphoe ) Mueang Buriram Buriram Province.

The Phu Khao Fai Kradong covers a total area of 1,450 Rai, corresponding to 2.32 km ² .. The forest park is located in a highland area with a number of medium-sized hill. The park is situated at an altitude of 50-1000 meters. The character gains the forest park by two smaller mountains, the Khao Kradong and Khao Yai, and the two reservoirs Charake Mak and Huay Talad

Flora and Fauna

The forest complex, which consists of mixed forests and dry forests dipterocarpen, houses a variety of different types of tropical plants and a number of wild animals live there.
