The current breakpoint and former station Kierberg is located on the Eifel Railway ( Route number 474 ) (Cologne - ) Hürth- Kalscheuren - Euskirchen - Gerolstein - Trier Brühler district Kierberg. It is served by the regional train RB 24 from Cologne via Euskirchen to Kall.

The former representative reception building of the former imperial train station serves as a restaurant Kaiserbahnhof.

Current situation

The modern breakpoint facilities were last renovated December 2006 to 13 March 2008. Here, a central platform has been set up, which is accessible via a new pedestrian underpass with stairs and two elevators. There were also waiting homes with ticket machines.

The former station building houses since the 1980s, a restaurant with beer garden under different owners. Since December 2008, the building was gutted, restored and partly rebuilt. Restaurant and beer garden are under new management again.

Operation

Former Kaiserbahnhof

The so-called Kaiser station in Brühl- Kierberg is considered one of the most beautiful reception building in Germany. It was built in 1877 at the end of up leading from the Brühler downtown Emperor street in a small park.
