Kildorrery

Kildorrery ( Irish: Cill Dairbhre, " Oak Forest Church " ) is a village in the north of County Cork in the province of Munster in Ireland. Kildorrery had 2006 213 inhabitants in the census year.

Geography

Kildorrery is located on a hill in a glacially influenced landscape between the Ballyhoura Mountains in the south of County Limerick and the Nagle Mountains beyond the Blackwater Valley. History

The location of Kildorrery had a special strategic importance since ancient times.
