Kim Kyong-hui

Kim Kyong -hui (* May 30, 1946 ) is a North Korean politician. She is the younger sister of the late head of state Kim Jong- Il, daughter of the country's founder Kim Il -Sung and aunt of the current head of state Kim Jong-un. On 27 September 2010 she was appointed jointly with her nephew to the four- star general.

Kim Kyong -hui began her political career in 1971 in the Democratic Women's Association of North Korea. In 1976 she became deputy chairman of the committee for international contacts of the Central Committee of the WPK. She is a Member of the Supreme People's Assembly since 1987 and Head of the Department of Light Industry of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea ( WPK ). Member of the Central Committee it is since 1988.

In 1972, she married Jang Song Thaek, who as it was general and served as vice chairman of the National Defense Commission of 7 June 2010 to December 2013. In addition, he was Director of Administration of the WPK. Their only daughter Jang Kum -song (1977-2006) studied in Paris, where she took her own life.

Since 2010 she runs a restaurant in Pyongyang.

Kim Kyong -hui was true or because they belong to the ruling dynasty as a member of the influential circles of North Korea until her husband was surprisingly executed in 2013 for treason. Although Kim remained of official sanctions unmolested; since they no longer appeared in public, however, since September 2013, is increasingly suspected that perhaps it is no longer alive.
