Kim Sa-in

Kim Sa - in ( born March 30, 1956 in Boun, Chungcheongbuk -do) is a South Korean poet and literary critic.

Life

Kim Sa - in was born on 30 March 1956 in Boun, a small village in the middle of Korea. He attended a class, regional high school and studied Korean literature at one of the best universities in Seoul. He currently teaches poetry as a lecturer in art and creative writing at the University of Seoul. With such an elite resume, you might inadvertently assume that his poems reflect his academic life: perfect and flawless. However, this is not the way. The aesthetic value of Kim's poems results from their ' neat -made ' nature, being ' a product of extreme self-denial are forced to keep the revolt of endless seething emotions in check ' at the same time, as one critic put it.

His debut was in 1982 in the Journal Kim poems and Economy ( 시 와 경제 ), in a time of violent military government. He decided to respond to the pain of this period, rather than ignoring it. Although his poems take on a disciplined form, but their subjects are people from simple walks of life, mostly with inadequate character or even dull sounding. Kim admitted that he sees the heat of humanity rather naivety and clumsiness, as in perfection and flatness.

Kim describes the writing of poems as ' endless questioning of things '. But he also stressed that the poet must not only ask questions: he must also find answers and implement them actively into action. Just means the reading of poems, be part of that and to participate with the whole body in mind. Kim's poems involve engagement with these, both on the part of the reader as well as on the part of the author. Because according to Kim 's poetry, which you will not fully surrenders, no poetry.
