Kim Won-hong

Kim Won- hong ( born April 17, 1945 in Hwanghae- pukto ) is a North Korean politician of the Workers' Party of Korea ( WPK ) and General of the Korean People's Army ( KPA ), which since 2012 Minister of State Security, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee (CC ) of the WPK and member of the Central Military Commission of the Central Committee is. He is also a member of the Party Central Committee and deputy of the Supreme People's Assembly and was between 2004 and 2010 Commander of the Military Security Command, officers and military installations monitored, evaluated and supervised. During this time, he was a constant companion of Kim Jong- il during his visits to military installations and facilities in North Korea.

Life

Kim Won- hong met in November 1962 in the People's Army and was after the visit of Kim Il-sung Party School as an instructor, section chief and deputy head of a department in the Political Department of the People's Army as well as political officer working in an Army Corps. He joined for foreign observers for the first time at the funeral of the Minister of the People's Armed Forces, Marshal Ch'oe Kwang, 1997 appearance. After the death of longtime commander of the Military Security Command General Won Ung -hui, he was promoted in 2004 and his successor in this role in April 2009 as a general. In 2010 he was seconded to the particular use to Kim Jong -un, to prepare it to the case of a takeover nch the death of Kim Jong -il.

On the third party conference on September 28, 2010 Kim Won- hong was both elected to the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the WPK and sat directly during this conference next to Kim Jong-un. Since the death of Kim Jong -il on December 17, 2011, he was also one of the regular attendants Kim Jong-un during its inspections of units of the People's Army and is one of the four high-level People's Army members who were selected to support Kim Jong- us.
