Kim Woo-jae

Kim Woo- jae ( born November 25, 1979 in Seoul) is a South Korean professional ice hockey player who stands since 2007 in Anyang Halla Ice Hockey League in Asia under contract.

Career

Kim Woo- jae began his career as a hockey player in the team Yonsei University, for which he was active from 1998 to 2002. Then the defender signed with Anyang Halla in the South Korean Ice Hockey League, with which he departed in the Asia League Ice Hockey newly established starting from the season 2003/ 04. The 2006/07 season spent the South Korean national team at Jokipojat Joensuu in the Mestis, the Finnish second division. For the team, he was in 45 games two assists. Then he returned to Anyang Halla, where he was team captain in 2007 and with which he first Asia League champions was in season 2009/10. In the 2010/11 season, which ended prematurely due to the Tōhoku earthquake, he won with his team again the champion of the Asia League Ice Hockey.

Internationally

For South Korea, Kim Woo- jae participated in the C world championships in 1999, 2000, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2009 and the B World Championships in 2002, 2008, 2010 and 2011 in part. In the Asian Winter Games in 2011 he won the bronze medal with South Korea.
