The station Kinding (Altmühltal ) is a regional station at kilometer 58.6 of the high-speed line Nuremberg -Ingolstadt- Munich.

The station is located west of the Bavarian market Kinding near the federal highway you 9 is next to the train stations Allersberg ( distance 25.4 km ) and Ingolstadt Nord (km 86.8 ) is one of three regional stations of the new Nuremberg -Ingolstadt. The complex is located directly between the north adjacent Schellenberg tunnel (650 m ) and the south following Irlahülltunnel ( 7260 m).

Transport links

Railway system

History

Planning

After the planning status of mid-1994, the station was designed as a pure overtaking, which will be developed into a regional station if necessary would. North and south of the station each track change between the track rails were provided with four points. 1999 was the expansion of the fixed pulling over to the local train station. The Free State of Bavaria had commissioned the expansion. In both station heads this platform changes were also provided with four points.

The building was part of the zoning section 52 of the new line and counted for Los center.

Construction

Symbolic gap closure

On 13 June 2005, the solemn " gap closure " of the high-speed line was celebrated on the eastern platform track, the insertion and welding of the last track piece of the new line. Remains of former railway station Kinding

Located just below the present station, the historic station building of the former station Kinding is located on the Altmühltalradweg web. Passenger traffic on the associated section between Beilngries and Kipfenberg was set on 2 October 1955. The section was shut down on 3 June 1970 and has now been dismantled. The old station building is still being used by a local tennis club and maintained. Only the leading past it Altmühltal bike path provides a regular traffic.
