King Biscuit Blues Festival

The King Biscuit Blues Festival is an annual that takes place in Helena, Arkansas Blues Festival. The first edition took place in 1986 under the direction of the " Main Street Helena " organization instead, whose aim was to revive the downtown Helena. From small beginnings, a truck was the first festival used as a stage, the festival has developed into a multi-day event, which is attended by up to 100 000 Blue supporters. In 2005 the name was changed Festival for litigation in Arkansas Blues and Heritage. Since 2011 the festival will take place again under its original name.

The choice of performing artists is based on the influence that Sonny Boy Williamson II and Robert Lockwood Jr. on their work. The festival includes arts and crafts events, and events for children. Food and beer will be sold during the festival of street vendors, and about 400 volunteers ensure the smooth running of events.
