Long Beach Blues Festival
The Long Beach Blues Festival was founded in 1980 and is together with the San Francisco Blues Festival and the Chicago Blues Festival is one of the largest in the United States. It takes place on Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend and has been held since the 29th edition in the Rainbow Lagoon in downtown Long Beach. The first 28 runs took place in the campus of California State University, Long Beach. The festival of KKJZ, a supported with public money radio station on the campus of California State University, the Jazz and Blues is organized sends. Purpose of the festival is also to raise funds for the station.
