King Island Council

King Iceland is an island northwest of the main island of Tasmania. 14 districts and villages are situated on the island: Currie, Egg Lagoon, Grassy, Loorana, Lymwood, Naracoopa, Pearshape, Pegarah, Reekara, Sea Elephant, Surprise Bay, Wickharn, Yambacoona and Yarra Creek. The headquarters of the Council is located in Currie, on the west coast of the island, where about 750 inhabitants.
Management
The King Iceland Council has nine members. The Mayor ( Mayor ), his deputy ( deputies) and Councillor seven are elected directly by the residents of the LGA. King Iceland is not divided into districts.
