Kingston is located in the southeast of South Australia about 240 km southeast of the city of Adelaide. Management

The Council of Kingston has eleven members, ten Councillor elected by the residents of the four Wards ( four from Kingston and two each from Blackford, Water Valley and Woolmit Ward). These four districts are set independently of the districts. The Council President and Mayor ( Mayor ) is also elected by all residents of the District.
