Kitikmeot Region
Kitikmeot Region ( Inuktitut: Qitirmiut ᕿᑎᕐᒥᐅᑦ ) is an administrative region of the Canadian territory of Nunavut.
It consists of the southern and eastern parts of Victoria Iceland and the opposite mainland. It includes the Boothia Peninsula, King William Iceland that. Berens Islands and the southern part of Prince of Wales Iceland Administrative center is the 1477 population of Cambridge Bay.
Prior to 1999, there was the Kitikmeot region with slightly different boundaries as part of the Northwest Territories.
