Klakar

The community Klakar is in the middle part of the Croatian Posavina County Brod - east of the city of Slavonski Brod.

The number of inhabitants is 2,319 ( 2011 census ) living in four villages: Ruscica 1,135, Gornja Bebrina with 487, 272 and Klakar with Donja Bebrina with 425 inhabitants. The average height is about 88 meters. The inhabitants are of their nationality mostly Croatian and religion after Roman Catholic. The neighboring communities are: in the west Gornja Vrba, east Oprisavci, the south borders the community to the neighboring country of Bosnia - Herzegovina. The soil in the area of the municipality is very flat and fertile. From Ruscica to Donja Bebrina, along the Sava river, there is a wide pastures landscape, on the grazing many cows and other animals in the summer. Of the industries here is the most common in agriculture, especially livestock. There are about fifty smaller private companies, the next still form the economy of the town.

In the near future the problem of drinking water supply is to be solved.

The flooded by melt water in autumn tracts of land, mostly flat pasture land, the municipality amounted to about 1,500 acres. They form a habitat for wildlife and fish.
