Velika Kopanica
Velika Kopanica ( German United Kopanitz ) is a municipality with 3308 inhabitants ( 2011 census ) and is located in northern Croatia Brod - Posavina in the county.
The municipality includes the town itself as well as the smaller village of Mala Kopanica ( German Klein Kopanitz ), which is located about five kilometers west of Velika Kopanica. It is located about 30 km northeast of Slavonski Brod and is located on the railway line connecting eastern and western Croatia, one of the major trans-European rail connections.
The city is mainly known by the Traffic, because the important main road at Velika Kopanica passes to Osijek.
The name Ivan Filipović is a widely known name in the city, because he is the bearer of the name of the local school and some streets.
