Klaus Dittrich

Klaus R. Dittrich ( born December 30, 1950 in Munchberg, Upper Franconia, † November 20, 2007 in Mountain View, California ) was a German computer scientist. He was from 1989 professor of computer science at the Department of computer science (IFI ), University of Zurich and head of the research group database technology ( DBTG ).

He graduated in 1982 at the Institute for Program Structures and Data Organization, University of Karlsruhe with Prof. Lockemann, 1984 was a post-doc at the IBM Almaden Research Center and from 1985 to 1989 Head of database systems at the research center computer science ( FZI ) at the University of Karlsruhe.
