Klaus J. Behrendt

Klaus Johannes Behrendt ( born February 7, 1960 in Hamm ) is a German actor.

Life and education

Klaus J. Behrendt was born in Hamm, the son of a pediatrician, grew up in Westphalia Ibbenbüren and there learned the profession of mountain mechanic. After completing his civilian service he took from 1981 to 1984 acting classes at the Hamburg School Hedi Hoepfner and then stepped to a permanent engagement at the Bremer Theater. There he joined up in 1988 in plays like Danton's Death, The Seagull, A Midsummer Night's Dream or The Three Sisters. Klaus J. Behrendt has two sons and a daughter from his first marriage and lives with his second wife Karin and their son from a previous relationship in Berlin- Charlottenburg.

Film and television career

With a role in the television series Red Earth II in 1989, he started his TV career.

Large Behrendt gained popularity from 1992 to 1994 and again since 1997 through his role as an investigator Max Ballauf in the WDR - crime series Tatort; first as an assistant commissioner of Flemming ( played by Martin Lüttge ) in Dusseldorf and later as Commissioner ladder with his colleague Freddy Schenk ( Dietmar Bär ) in Cologne. In the Tatort episode 234 ( Schimanskis weapon) Behrendt was already shown in a supporting role as Erwin Spilonska.

From 1995 to 1997 he played in the Sat.1 series AS the role of private detective Alexander Stein. In the sat.1 television production The Light in Dark Places Behrendt was seen in the role of a miner, his original profession. In spring 2005 he played in the ZDF television series Chancellery fictional Chancellor Andreas Weyer. In 2006, he acted with his colleague and friend Dietmar Bär in The sinking of the Pamir, a two-part disaster drama on the sinking of the German ship Pamir. This project came into existence largely to Behrendts operate. In 2007, he embodied the ARD television drama Ordinary people on the side of Barbara Auer a family man who hides his homosexuality.

Awards

In October 2000, Klaus J. Behrendt and Dietmar Bär received for their roles in the crime scene the German Television Award for Best Series Actor of the Year 1999. Engagements

Together with the Berlin club per futura Behrendt is set for the future prospects of young people and long-term unemployed one.
