Life and work

Private

Liefers comes from a theatrical family. His father is the director Karlheinz Liefers, his mother the actress Brigitte Liefers - Wähner, his grandfather Heinz Liefers was an actor. Jan Josef Liefers grew up in Dresden and finished an apprenticeship as a carpenter at the State Theatre Dresden.
