The small Furkahorn is a 3'026 m above sea level. M. high mountain in the Southern Alps of Uri. Over its peak is the boundary of the Swiss cantons of Uri and Valais.
Geographical location
The small Furkahorn rises directly north over the Furka pass. Continue north leads the Sidelengrat about 2'958 m above sea level. M. Sidelengratlücke high for large Furkahorn from which the ridge continues to the Galenstock. In the West, the tongue of the Rhone Glacier runs.
Summit routes
The normal route leads via the south ridge from the Furka Pass, the route is evaluated with EB. In the West, several plates Plaisir climbing found in the lower and middle range of difficulty ( UIAA III.-VI. degrees). The north ridge ( II degree ) from the Sidelengratlücke considered as " unrewarding ".
