Klein Luckow is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald Jatznick in the east of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Geography

Klein Luckow is situated on the southern edge of the northern ridge, an end moraine, which is approximately 25 km in west-east direction drags ( Schanzenberg 125 m above sea level, 3 km west of Klein Luckow. ); to this ridge close to the Brohm Mountains and to the northwest the Ueckermünder Heath. The district Klein Luckow borders the northern tip of the state of Brandenburg. The distances to the former district towns amounted to Pasewalk 14 km and to Strasburg (Uckermark) 10 km.

For the former rural community Klein Luckow belonged to the district of Groß Spiegelberg. Approximately 1.5 kilometers to the south is the 0.3 hectare Katzensee.

History

On July 25, 1952 Klein Luckow was removed together with other municipalities from the Brandenburg until 1945 the Prussian district Prenzlau and assigned to the circle Pasewalk in the district of Neubrandenburg.

On 1 January 2012, the formerly independent villages Blumenhagen and Klein Luckow were incorporated to Jatznick.
