Klindworth-Scharwenka Conservatory
The Conservatory of Music Klindworth - Scharwenka was founded in 1893 Music Institute in Berlin, which enjoyed the reputation of an internationally renowned training center for decades.
It was formed from the merger of 1881, founded by Xaver Scharwenka and his brother Philip acquired Scharwenka Conservatory with the existing music school since 1883 Karl Klindworths.
From 1908, the Conservatory was located in a separate building in the Genthiner Str 11 (Berlin- Tiergarten), which included 2 large concert halls, the Blüthner - hall and the Klindworth - Scharwenka room. In the early 1940s it was relocated to the Berliner Str 39, Berlin -Charlottenburg. 1960, the teaching has ceased operations.
