Klinik unter Palmen is a German doctor television series in the ARD, in the years 1996-2003 a total of 8 seasons and 23 episodes in the Philippines ( season 1), Thailand (season 2), in the Dominican Republic (season 3-4), in Mexico (season 5-6) and Cuba (Season 7-8) plays. The stories surrounding the clinic 's team of Dr. Frank Hofmann ( Klausjürgen Wussow ) achieved an average market share of 17%.

Data

The first broadcast began on 2 February 1996. Each episode lasted about 90 minutes per year ran three episodes. Produced the series of Karl Spiehs, the film was directed by Otto Retzer. The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation supported the production with a quarter million DM, and posted it as public relations. The scripts were from Thomas Nippold and Rolf -René Schneider.

Content

The German physician Dr. Frank Hofmann built in several countries mostly with development aid clinics, helps to build this, and is available to doctors there, among which are often also German colleagues with difficult decisions and operations side. Hofmann first works on Boracay is an island of the Philippines, then in Thailand in Phuket and in the Dominican Republic. After a while he supervised the " Clinica Maya " in Tulum in Mexico, he moves to Cuba, where he met his great love ( Gaby Dohm ) meet again and eventually dies. In all the episodes he rescues indigenous patients and attempts at local doctors as a mental representation.
