Klokočov, Čadca District

Klokočov (Hungarian Klokocsóvölgy ) is a municipality in Okres Čadca of Žilinský in the far north of Slovakia. The number of inhabitants as of December 31, 2010 to 2,455 inhabitants.

Geography

The municipality is located in the highlands highlands Turzovská the creek Predmieranka. The place Klokočov itself forms only a small part of the municipality, while the majority of the population lives in the surrounding valleys and mountains. History

Klokočov in the past was part of the city Turzovka, which was founded in the late 16th century. On May 15, 1954, the area of ​​the city was divided and Klokočov became a municipality.
