Klubina

Klubina (Hungarian Kelebény - to 1907 Klubina ) is a municipality in the north - central Slovakia with 546 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2011), which belongs to Okres Čadca, a part of the Žilinský.

Geography

The municipality is located in the valley of the river Bystrica between the mountains Kysucká highlands south and the mountains Kysucké Beskydy northeast of the village. The nearly 15.6 km ² municipal area is wooded from the valley and covered by brown forest soils. The center is located at an altitude of 450 m nm and is 15 kilometers from Čadca and 32 km from Zilina away.

History

The name Klubina was first mentioned in 1417 in a document that lists the boundaries of the city Krasno nad Kysucou, in terms of a stream. A year later, the surrounding hills are called Kulbuzca. A settlement was established in the 16th century as part of the Wallachian colonization of the landscape Kysuca, as a community but it is first mentioned in 1662. It belonged to the manor of Castle Strečno plus seven farmyards of the community were connected. In the late 17th and in the 18th century there was a glassworks in the village.

1784 were counted 60 houses and 344 inhabitants in 1828 16 houses and 361 inhabitants. Main sources of income were agriculture and forestry, parts of the population worked as a shepherd.

Population

According to the 2011 census lived in Klubina 537 inhabitants, of whom 510 Slovaks and Czechs 2. 25 inhabitants did not know. 509 residents pleaded with the Roman Catholic Church, 2 neighbors to the Greek Catholic Church, the Evangelical Church of the population 1 and 1 population was of a different denomination. 4 inhabitants were non-denominational and 20 inhabitants, the denomination is not determined.

Infrastructure

In Klubina there is a kindergarten, a four-class primary school and a library. The nearest post office is in Stara Bystrica. Water and gas lines are present, but lacks the sewer and connection to a sewage treatment plant. Through the village, the 2nd order runs 520 ( Krasno nad Kysucou - Lokca ).
