Knut Magnus Olsen

Knut Magnus Olsen ( born May 6, 1954 in Akershus ) is a Norwegian business managers, farmer and politician of the Senterpartiet (Sp ), and since 2010 Secretary General of the party.

Life

Olsen first attended schools in Akershus. After studying economics at the BI Norwegian Business School, he began his professional career in 1980 in the private sector with the company Harald A. Møller AS Skedsmo and was there first Financial Manager and subsequently Managing Director from 1984 to 1987.

In 1987, he took over a farm in Vassenden Fylke in Sogn og Fjordane and has since worked as a farmer in the milk and meat production. He also began to get involved politically and socially in his residence and the Fylke Sogn og Fjordane. Between 1988 and 1998 he was the regional manager of the Home Guard ( Heimevernet ) and 1991-1995 Member of the Municipal Council of Jølster. Since 1995 he is a member of the Provincial Council ( Fylkesting ) of Sogn og Fjordane, and since 2002 Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Company Myklebust Art & old handicraft AS.

Olsen, who is og Fjordane since 2004 Chairman of the Senterpartiet in Fylke son, is deputy member of the Storting for the constituency Fjordane since 2005. In addition, it was 2009 Chairman of the Student Association of the Centre Party ( Senterpartiets Studieforbund ).

In 2010 he was Secretary General of the Senterpartiet as successor to Ivar Egeberg, in turn, Secretary General of Det Norske Travselskap (DNT) was the association of Norwegian trotting racing.
