Kobeřice

Kobeřice ( German Köber joke) is a municipality with 3228 inhabitants ( 1 January 2004) in the Czech Republic. It is located 13 km north-east of Opava at Oldrišovský creek near the border with Poland, is the Okres Opava.

History

Köber joke in the Silesia region Ratibor belonged to Hultschiner Ländchen and was since 1742 part of the Kingdom of Prussia. In 1922 it was ceded under the Treaty of Versailles to Czechoslovakia. The place had 1939 2.077 inhabitants in the year.

Between 1939 and 1945, the place belongs again to the German Empire and since the end of World War II he was again in Czech.
