Kok River

The Maenam Kok in Amphoe Mae Ai, Chiang Mai Province

The Maenam Kok ( แม่น้ำ กก - Kok River ) is a river in the northern region of Thailand.

It rises in the Shan State in Myanmar. It then flows south to the border of Myanmar - Thailand, where it enters into Thailand in Mae Ai district in Chiang Mai province in Tha Ton ( ท่า ตอน ). Approximately 100 km of its length in Thailand are located in the province of Chiang Rai. It flows through the districts of Mueang Chiang Rai, Mae Chan, Chiang Saen and Wiang Chai. In the district of Chiang Saen it flows into the Mekong.
