Kongsberg IF

Kongsberg IF (Norwegian Kongsberg Idrettsforening, short KIF ) is a sports club from the Norwegian Kongsberg.

The club was founded on 26 January 1899, continued its focus from the start on winter sports. Today, however, there is also a successful football department, whose first men's team plays in the third Norwegian League and their first women's team in the second Norwegian league. In addition, the club still exists a turn as well as an athletics department.

However, the most successful section of the club is the winter sport. From the club among others, the successful ski jumpers Sigmund Ruud, Birger Ruud, Asbjørn Ruud, Hans Beck, Hilmar Myhra (also football), Petter Hugsted and Arnholdt Kongsgård emerged. The snowboard is Stine Brun Kjeldaas with an Olympic silver medal and a silver and two bronze medals at world championships successful representative of the association.
