Korean poetry

Korean poetry called poems that were created in North and South Korea and their Vörgängerstaaten (eg Korea, Silla, etc. ), or are simply written only in Korean.

History

The oldest surviving work of Korean literature Gongmudohaga suggests that even before the Three Kingdoms period from the 1st century BC lyric sung.

In the time of the Goryeo Dynasty (918-1392), the oldest existing Korean epic, Dongmyeongwangpyeon was written before 1241 by Yi Gyu -bo. It portrays the exploits of the founder king of Goguryeo Dongmyeong.

Sijo is the most popular form of Korean poetry, which reached a high bloom in the Joseon Dynasty, and Yun Seondo (1587 - 1671) was the master of this poetry style.
