Kõrkküla is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Azeri ( Azeri vald ). It is located in Ida -Viru county (East Wierland ) in Northeastern Estonia, Gulf of Finland.

Description and History

The village has 40 inhabitants ( 2011). About the Klint at Kõrkküla nature lovers have a wide view over the Baltic Sea.

Kõrkküla lies on the major link road between the Estonian capital Tallinn and the border town of Narva. Along the way is a historic stone cross. It is reminiscent of the Russian boyars Vasily Rosladin, the 1590, in a skirmish during the Livonian War, his death took place there.
